About the farm

A small farm with one big idea.

Raise cattle the way they'd raise themselves if they could — with open space, all the feed they want, and enough calm days to grow into something worth sharing.

Our story

Why Fat Cow Farm exists

Fat Cow Farm is a small family operation in Central Ohio. Our owner, Chad, has spent years learning what makes cattle thrive — and it turns out the answer isn't complicated: give them room to roam, all the grain they want, and don't rush them.

That's how we raise every animal here. Open pastures. Unlimited grain. No crowding, no cutting corners, no industrial shortcuts. Just the slow, steady work of raising cattle well.

What makes the difference

Calm cows make better beef.

Open roam

Cattle spend their days on acres of open pasture. They move, they graze, they pick their own spot in the shade. It's a good life — and it shows up in the meat.

Unlimited grain

Grain is available whenever they want it. Combined with fresh pasture, the result is marbling and flavor that store-bought beef just can't match.

Trusted butcher

Every animal is processed and packaged at Hoffman's Meats in Cardington, OH — a longtime Central Ohio butcher we trust to do it right.

"Our cows are happy. And honestly? You can taste the difference." — Chad, Fat Cow Farm
